Part 1: Introduction
We first start with an introduction. Our technicians will introduce themselves and confirm with the client the work expected to be completed.
Then, if the customer does not know where the tank is, we will then go through a process to locate the tank using various methods such as ground probes to sewer cameras, or flushable tracking devices.
Once the tank is located, we will dig (if needed) to reach the tank lids and remove the lids. This can either happen by hand or with a mini excavator if the soil requires it.
Part 2: Assessment
At this point, we will allow the customer to see the contents and condition of the tank (or take pictures of the condition, if that is preferable to the client) and assess the functionality of the tank.
During the assessment phase, we will review the contents, the functionality of the inlet and outlet Ts, and the overall condition of the tank.
Part 3: Draining
We will position our vacuum truck so that the hoses on the truck can reach the tank.
We will use an agitator to mix up the solids, effluent (water), and the scum layer into a consistency that the truck can vacuum.
Part 4: Wrap-Up
When the sewage contents are all out, a final inspection will be done to see if there are any remaining issues. New pictures are taken.
We will then replace the tanks and rebury the tank, leaving the ground as undisturbed as possible.
We will review the satisfaction of the customer, give an invoice, and collect payment.
Usually, for a maintenance pumping, the process will take around one hour.
